Melbourne artist Brigitte Bardini has just dropped her new track, Wild Ride, and it’s a celebration of going full-time in music. It’s the follow-up to her debut track Aphrodite, and is a sign of what’s to come from her debut album Stellar Lights, out later this year. It’s a track that continues to build throughout its duration, all the while centering Brigitte’s gentle, emotive vocals. Keep an ear out for the flute, too - it’s the song’s special something. Brigitte’s on a Wild Ride, and it’s exciting to think where it’s going to take her.

The track begins with just guitar and bass, before elements continue to evolve and get placed into the mix (like the aforementioned flute). It’s a great reminder to go and chase your dream, whatever that may be. Yes, it’s a scary idea, but you don’t want to have any regrets. There’s a real sense of excitement that comes through Brigitte’s voice on Wild Ride, and you can feel her confidence grow as the instrumentation builds. What’s life without a few risks?

Speaking about the track, Brigitte says it’s a track about committing to music. “Wild Ride is a coming of age track written about my decision to take a risk and pursue music full time. It’s very fitting as I feel like it symbolises my entering further into the music industry, and is an opportunity for my audience to get to know me on a more intimate level due to the confessional lyrics. It’s a track that really took on a mind of its own, becoming relevant at every crossroad that has presented itself since I wrote the demo. It holds a great significance to me as it’s an open book and offers me nothing to hide behind, so I see it as a powerful tool to grow as a person and as an artist.”
